5 Bucks A Day Jr.

5 Bucks A Day Jr.

Unlike “20 Ways To Make $100 A Day,” this book is not intended to be a listing of business models designed to make $5 a day. It is actually more of an overall business model whereby you create a new project every week designed to bring in $5 without you working on it beyond the week.

I liked that 5 Bucks A Day, Jr. didn’t try to teach a new technique for creating an online business. In fact, the book contains relatively little actual “how to” type information. Mainly this book centers on teaching you the philosophy behind the author, Dennis Becker’s, success online. And about this he is entirely unapologetic.

The thing I liked the most about this is that he shows how the majority of his business revolves around creating and managing projects. His projects are mainly constrained by the schedule, meaning that they all have a duration of only one week. He also talks a bit about how it is important that the scope of your project is small enough to complete within the week, or if it isn’t then to set your schedule for longer than a week. Excellent use of project management skills, Dennis!

I think that he spends a bit too much time explaining his first success. While this information proves useful a bit later in the book when he uses examples drawn from the story, I still think a bit of editorial work could be done to trim this down, and to some extent some of the other areas of the book as well. The conversational tone tends to come off as a little bit wordy at times. For my money, I would have been happier to have a book that was 10 pages shorter but more concise.

However, this does not distract tremendously from the message, and actually, as I said above, it sometimes proves useful because he uses examples from his story to illustrate points in later parts of the book.

I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are new to making money online, and you are having trouble getting started. This book will give you much more valuable information than the latest how to guide on AdSense or book on driving traffic with social media.

This book is an inexpensive way to get a good taste and feel for Dennis’ 5 Bucks A Day book, which is not only the book but includes access to a membership site with a tremendous amount of resources to help you in finding and working your $5 a day projects.
